ASL: An American Sign Language interpreter is provided.
BB:  Portions of the Big Book, Alcoholics Anonymous, are read and discussed.

BC:  AA birthdays are celebrated with birthday medallions (chips) and often cake, etc.

BG:  Meeting format is directed towards beginners and newcomers, the AA Steps and Traditions are defined.
CC:  Closed Captioned, audible portions of the meeting are transcribed and exhibited as text on an electronic screen.
CF:  Child Friendly meetings welcome parents accompanied by well behaved children.
CL:  Closed Meetings are limited to AA members, those with a desire to stop drinking, and those, including newcomers,

       who think they may have a problem with alcohol.
CN:  Candlelight is used for illumination throughout or for a portion of meeting.
DD:  Dual Diagnosis individuals are welcome.

FF:   Those attending Fragrance Free meetings are asked to refrain from using colognes, perfumes, aftershaves, and

        other lotions or products that emit a fragrance during and before the meeting.
G/L:  Gays and Lesbians are encouraged to attend.
GM:  Gay Men are encouraged to attend.
LW:  Lesbian Women are encouraged to attend.
LD:   Literature Discussion, a piece of AA or other literature dealing with alcoholism is read and discussed.
Med: A portion of the meeting is devoted to Meditation.
MN:  Within the scope of AA Traditions*, attendance is limited to Men.
SM:  Smoking is permitted in the meeting room.
SG:  Meetings are conducted in Small Groups.
SP:   A major portion of the meeting is devoted to an AA Speaker.
S/S:  The focus of the meeting is on the AA Steps, usually with the use of the

        AA publication, Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions.  
WC:  The meeting room is accessible by wheelchair.
WM:  Within the scope of AA Traditions*, attendance is limited to Women.
XT:  Cross Talk, e.g. commenting upon specific points of another person's share

       or testimony, except in a very general way, is discouraged in AA meetings.

       In meetings designated with XT Cross Talk is permitted.
YP:  Young People and youths of all ages are encouraged to attend.

 

* AA Tradition Three states that, "The only requirement for A.A. membership is a desire to stop drinking."

Hence, AA groups may discourage attendance on the basis of sex or other criteria, BUT they should not prevent it!
